Regular Exhibition of Inaba Sword Guards from the Olden Days
Tottori, Sanin, was the workplace of Hoki Yasutsuna, the progenitor of sword making. Here, tatara steel making using foot-operated bellows, and sword making were active in the olden days. In addition, Tottori is renowned for its Inaba Sword Guards, characterized not only by their high-level forging technique, but also by the superb chasing technique and unique design. They are also highly prized as excellent art objects. These sword guards from the XX period to the YY period are exhibited on a regular basis.
